We Get the Job Done
Winter is just around the corner, and along with it comes the delights of heavy snowfall, slippery roads, and dangerous driving conditions, even in Surrey. It’s certainly in moments like these when we are thankful for cleared and sanded roads for safer driving conditions. The City of Surrey’s Operations Centre, which hosts several snow-removal and salt trucks along with other maintenance vehicles was Creative Door’s Vancouver team’s latest project. Working with the client’s and the architect’s requirements, our talented members were able to get the installation complete, just in time for the chilly weather ahead.
Meeting Client Expectations
After receiving an invitation to bid from Graham Construction, a general contractor that Creative Door is proud to work with, Creative Door Services was hired to supply and install a series of commercial doors to meet the needs of the Surrey Operations Centre. Knowing the working conditions and the needs of the commercial door to be installed, our team worked with the architect to recommend a suitable commercial door product that will not only withstand the weather conditions but also function without failure and without disrupting workflow.
All About the Doors
Since snow removal trucks and other maintenance vehicles are expected to be entering and exiting the premises frequently, the client required commercial doors that are safe, high-speed, and can keep up with the building’s frequent usage. Our team recommended an option that would function without overhead tracks or a motor system, thus avoiding occupying the ceiling room in the building. The doors, when open, also act as a canopy providing additional working space without letting in the rain, sleet, or snow.
Custom cladded with insulated polycarbonate panels and finished with a white powder coat finish, eight 22’ by 14” horizontal bi-fold doors by Diamond Door Manufacturing were installed by our technicians. From ensuring that the three different types of finishes on the door were precise to meet the client’s and architect’s specs and needs, our team worked tirelessly to exceed all project needs.
Hear It From the Pro
“When it comes to high functioning doors, Creative Door Services has always been ahead of the game in recommending commercial door products that will live up to our client’s expectations,” says Mike, commercial sales at Creative Door’s Vancouver office. “The chosen door has a direct drive system that can handle high-frequency usage without failure and incorporates an automatic locking system for security. It’s always satisfying when our customer is thrilled with the finished results because we were able to get them exactly what they wanted.”
