OEM Remanufacturing

Throughout the OEM's facility, cranes operate on ceiling tracks. Because of this, their doors needed to allow cranes to move freely from one room to another, while also sealing off specific rooms within the building. Installing bi-part doors accommodated the cranes' movements while also offering superior strength and performance.

The facility's exterior, which is predominately glass, was outfitted with sleek full-view glass overhead doors by JPR Model 30 AD to complement the clean lines of its architecture. The same model of glass door was also installed in the interior of the building where strength and soundproofing aren't a concern.

While the focus of the exterior was boosting aesthetic appeal, the interior challenges required more practical consideration. The facility's engine testing room featured a roof hatch as well as a large ground-level entrance that required a sturdy, soundproof door to keep the noise from spreading through the building.

Creative Door covered the roof hatch with a 10 x 10 meter hatchway door operated by a special cable pulley system, while the oversized entrance was fitted with a large bi-part swing door by Alta North Fabricators Ltd. The massive door had two leafs, each measuring approximately 10 meters wide and 20 meters high and weighing between 5000 and 7000 pounds.

The building was also equipped with a peening room where steel pellets are shot at slabs of metal, a process similar to sandblasting. The room required a door durable enough to withstand stray pellets but that also offered ease of operation. The Creative Door team selected an electrically operated 12x8 meter slider door for the job.
