Team Rolling Steel Rocks the MS Bike Tour

On June 13, 2015, five brave and community-minded CDS employees began the two-day MS Bike Tour journeyfrom Leduc to Camrose in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Edmonton Chapter. This adventure spanned two full days across 190 kilometres of flat and elevated terrains with multiple stops scheduled for food and water refills, bike tune-ups, networking, and team activities. Over 1,900 bikers of all ages participated in the event with 500 helpful volunteers supporting and cheering the teams on during the trip.

At the onset of the event, our Creative Door Team, Rolling Steel, set a fundraising goal to collect $5,000 in donations. Through the generous support of our suppliers Wayne Dalton, Richards-Wilcox, and Manaras Opera, our people, and the community, our team raised $4,920 towards the cause! Overall, the event brought in over $1.9 million in donations which will go towards helping the 100,000+ Canadians who are living with the disease find hope, access services, and invest in future research for a cure.

Through the sun, wind, and rain our Rolling Steel team endured the trek—some feeling more like Team Rubber at the finish line than Team Rolling Steel—but overall our MS Bike Tour ambassadors were thankful for the experience and the lifetime of memories that they can now share with new riders.
