LiftMaster Operators For Commercial And Industrial Slide Gates

Creative Door Services™ offers three LiftMaster slide gate operators designed for commercial and industrial contexts: the SL595UL, SL585UL, and CSL24U.

The major difference between these three gate operators relates to their capacities.

In particular, because of its high weight and length capacities, the LiftMaster SL595UL has been dubbed an extremely heavy-duty operator. It’s available with 1, 1.5, or 2 horsepower, depending on how much power you need. These configurations correspond to the following capacities:

  • The 1-hp model is designed for gates weighing up to 1,700 pounds and measuring up to 70 feet (21 metres) in length
  • The 1.5-hp model is designed for gates weighing up to 2,100 pounds and measuring up to 80 feet (24 metres) in length
  • The 2-hp model is designed for gates weighing up to 2,500 pounds and measuring up to 90 feet (27 metres) in length

The SL585UL may not be “extremely” heavy-duty but it too is capable of delivering some serious power. It’s available in the following configurations:

  • The 0.5-hp model is designed for gates weighing up to 1,000 pounds and measuring up to 45 feet (14 metres) in length.
  • The 1-hp model is designed for gates weighing up to 1,6000 pounds and measuring up to 70 feet (21 metres) in length.
  • The 1.5-hp model is designed for gates weighing up to 1,900 pounds and measuring up to 75 feet (23 metres) in length.

Finally, the 1-hp LiftMaster CSL24U is designed for gates weighing up to 1,500 pounds and measuring up to 50 feet (15 metres).

Another notable difference relates to the strength of the housing. The SL585UL and SL595UL feature weatherproof, oil-tight, lockable housing that can withstand the harshest environmental conditions. The CSL24U isn’t as heavy-duty in this regard. However, it remains a strong and durable gate operator.

The final difference that’s worth highlighting relates to the operators’ capabilities in terms of usage. The SL595UL and SL585UL are rated at 25 and 20 open-and-close cycles per hour, respectively. The CSL24U, on the other hand, is designed for high-traffic environments and can be operated continuously.

LiftMaster Gate Operators for Commercial and Industrial Swing Gates

These commercial gate operators have similar capacities. Both are rated for commercial gates weighing up to 1,600 pounds and measuring 18 feet in length. The LA500UL is rated at 300 cycles a day and the CSW24U can be operated continuously.

The main difference between these operators relates to their construction. The LA500UL features heavy-duty steel housing that’s completely weatherproof and can be securely locked. The CSW24U, on the other hand, is a commercial-duty operator. Like its cousin, the CSL24U slide gate operator, it’s robust and reliable, but it isn’t as rugged as the LA500UL.

Common Features Between Them

There are several noteworthy features that the various LiftMaster slide and swing gate operators have in common.

Here are a few of the safety and security features offered by all five models:

  • Photo eyes and resistive edges. Photo eyes detect obstructions while the gate is closing, causing the gate to immediately reverse when something enters its path. The resistive edge causes the gate to stop and reverse whenever it makes contact with an obstruction while closing.

  • Security+ 2.0. This technology serves to encrypt the remote signal to prevent hacking, extend the remote’s range and virtually eliminate interference.

  • Surge suppression. All five models have industrial-grade surge and lightning protection.

  • Battery backup. The operators come standard with battery backup, which ensures that the gate will remain operational during power outages.

Here are a couple of the add-ons you can get for these operators:

  • Internet Gateway. This accessory allows the gate operators to be remotely controlled and monitored with the user-friendly myQ smartphone app. To learn more about myQ technology, read the article, How myQ will change your life.

  • Solar panels. The gates can be equipped with solar panels for more energy-efficient operation.
