Solidifying their position as one of Brandon, Manitoba's leading builders, J&G Homes recently won Gold for its creative fall Parade of Homes project at the Manitoba Home Builder Awards Gala. With the help of its talented team of designers and Creative Door, J&G created a unique and customized show home with excellent curb appeal.

Getting Creative
"During the planning phase, we showed them a product that no one else could provide," says Amanda Joachim, a Creative Door Builder Sales Rep. "The Martin Door flush panel, wood grain garage door in walnut has a texture and finish that you don't see from other manufacturers."
Given J&G's focus on building standout homes, this Martin Door model was a welcome fit. What makes this particular garage door interesting is that it looks like wood, but it's actually made of steel.
The Door
"Wooden doors are a lot of maintenance since you have to stain them," says Amanda. "But with steel doors that look like wood, you don't have to maintain the exterior and they're insulated."
As an added benefit, the flush panel style of the door is complementary to the show homes' design. "J&G has fantastic designers with a keen eye for exceptional products," says Amanda. "This was the first project we worked with them on and it won Gold so it's a very big win for us as well."
