Keeping Things Cold in Calgary for Loblaw Ltd.

A corporation of this size of course needs a place to receive, store and distribute an abundance of perishable food products.  When dealing with such a vast stock of perishable goods there is no choice but to have a fully operational and temperature regulated facility to conduct business from.

When Loblaw needed a reliable commercial door installation and service company to assist them with its distribution centre in the Calgary area, they came to Creative Door Services.

The massive facility hosts 19 individual freezer bay doors. There are multiple different sections within the warehouse, each section created to store a different product. Since many products cannot be stored at the same temperature, dairy and canned goods for example, a unique door type was commissioned.

In order to meet this challenge, Creative Door Services specified high-speed bifold doors for cooler sections that incorporated heaters above in order to maintain similar temperatures on both sides of the doors to prevent condensation from forming on the doors. These doors were a perfect solution for the dairy and frozen goods coolers.

In addition to the individual bifold doors, Creative Door Services also maintains and services over 100 sectional and rubber loading dock doors that provide secure entry into the facility. The proper circulation of goods in and out of the facility is imperative to day-to-day operations.  Our Creative Door maintenance team ensures that all parts and components of these doors are in perfect working condition at all times to keep the facility running at full capacity.
